Sneak Peek: NEW CHP 75cc-100cc Yak
Photos and info are just in from Chip. Not even on the website yet...
75-100cc engine
94 inch span
19-21 with a 75cc single
21-23.5 with a 100cc twin (Chip says way overkill)
I'm told this new Yak will be in stock sometime in February... Can you guess what 75cc engines might be available by that time???

Interesting, looks like the wing is forward a lot more than others. Different Ali. also, goes straight on the leading edge of the Ali. and tapered on the trailing edge.
Has this model been flown? I like the looks of it.

The MVVS 58 cc engine should be sufficient power for it.
After all, it makes 80-100 cc power, spinning the appropriately sized props.

I seriously doubt that the 58 puts out the power of a 100,
But it might well be an option for this aircraft due to it's under 20 lb possibility.
It weighs about the same as the ZDZ 80 BlueHead. I wonder what a DA-75 might weigh?
For even less weight.... a BME 110 would be plain stupid power on this plane...

It's rumored. DA won't announce a product until they are ready (or darn close to ready) to ship... You can read that as you like...

I suspect it will come with a similar package as his other planes... control horns but not pushrods, tailwheel, maybe wheels... I'll ask and find out if there is anything different...

Is this rascal going to come with the wingbags stab bags & fuse cover like we see in the first pic of the group you posted? That would be a nice deal. I always wind up bying them for my larger planes anyhow, although I've never bought a cover for the fuse before. I'm also still wondering what type of covering it has on it. The china coat is great looking but almost impossible to repair & it does fade after some time in the sun. My Cap X is a couple of years old now & starting to show its age.

Yep it comes with the mylar/bubble wrap bags.... seems several manufacturers are doing this now... a nice touch.
Again the CHP Yak is/will be covered in UltraCote...

Hmmmm, control horns, tailwheel, wingbags, nice different design, Ultracote, $695.00 I just may have to get on the list for one of these guys. I'm looking for a round nosed plane & $550 & up for a 84-87" plane seems kinda high. Never mind the ludicrous price for one of QQ's planes. Lemme see how bad Santy hurts me this year & I may just be flying my second CHP plane.

You guys! What minds you have... you embarrased them so much they left the picture. (I think it was a cigarette and his hand JUST happened to be in a down position)
Ah well... no smoking in public...

These have been delayed somewhat... but the final priduction approval plane is supposedly close to being delivered to Chip... so you're looking maybe 2 months minimum... maybe 3 months out...
Chip converted the original prototype to electric and has been having a great deal of fun with it.
