custom chassis
a buddy and I are lookin to custom build a crawler we have almost everything figured out but a a couple things. 1st is how long should the main chassis be. 2nd what is the best length for the links and 3rd what is the best wheelbase to build for.

what axles are you using and what scale are you going for? TLT's are usually 11, while clods are usually 14-17" wb. The links and chassis lengths all depend on your wheel base. Determine the WB then you can set the axles in a jig at that wb and build from there.

um, well the 2.2 is 12.5 wheel base, so the best way is to have the axles apart12.5 and the shockmounts try and make the shocks at 45 degrees. mount where you build em yourself, the links, that is where you want to mount em so pick a spot, bottom one angles a little, and top one try and make em almost flat, less of an angle then bottom, then put your rod ends on and, screw one link on, measure to other ball end, and watch the pinion angle when doing this, you want pinion slight up, and servo slightly down. that is the best i can say, hope that makes sense. you can also go to rccrawler.com. good luck, i am 5150bronco on there. late
