MOTOR FOR GREAT PLANES SPECTRA
DOES ANYONE HAVE A RECOMMENDATION FOR A BRUSHLESS MOTOR REPLACEMENT FOR A SPECTRA? I HAVE LIPOS AND I'M THINKING AND OUTRUNNER BUT I REALLY HAVE NO CLUE. THANKS

If you check with Sal at NSP (Northeast Sailplane Products) he may still have the special on the MP Jet 28/20 7 and Castle speed control. I used one in mine with a 7 cel nimh battery and it definitly woke the plane up. With a 3s lipo I saved some weight and the added energy from the battery had me climbing to altitude in less than a minute. I used an 11x7 folder prop and the install was practically a bolt in since the motor weights are almost identical.

I'll second that motion
Sal helped me out with my Spectra about 3 years ago, then he was there to help out picking out a good 2M replacement after I folded the wing at close to a thousand feet (if your Spectra is the ARF, watch out, the main spars are balsa, not basswood as in the BIY kit)
