Default fiberglass wheel pants fix

last weekend I ended up putting in an Edge540T. As of now I am rebuilding it and am now at the part of fixing my wheel pants.

The wheel pants are fiberglass and have a crack in the seem and chipped off the paint in some areas. Some areas of the chipped paint are larger than others but not to bad. I have CA glued the seem back together and fiberglassed the inside to give strength.

My question is how do I fill up the areas where the paint chipped away? I have sanded down the paint even with the fiberglass but it has some low parts in it. I was wondering if I could just use Bondo filler from the squeeze tube to fill in the low spots. I have used this stuff before on cars but wondered if it would work with something like this.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix cracked wheel pants let me know. This will be the first time I have tried to fix something like this .

Thanks

the nicest stuff to use to fill voids in glassed surfaces etc, is evercoat, you get it at auto paint stores, dont bother looking in walmart, etc. for it. It is really smooth stuff, much nicer than bondo and way more body than that red glaze stuff. The only down sides are it smells bad and you have to use laquer thinner to clean up tools. it comes with a catalyst, about $10.00 for a can If I recall. This stuff was mentioned in RCR, march edition, they liked it too.
