loctite?????
Okay, before I make a mistake an start boltin stuff down. Do I use the "Blue" loctite on everything? If not what color do I use and what should I not loctite down? I have a new 1/8 elam. Removed clutch, waterpump, pipe, strut. installing new header cooler, header, pipe, and collett,and shim under strut....

You can also use the thin green, if you want to, after the parts have been bolted together. It has the same properties as the blue, but it uses capilary <sp?> action to walk it's way up between the threads.

nylocs will be fine. loctite may make it dificult in the tighter spots to get things apart if you ever have to. i didnt use loctite anywhere on my yellow boat

i used to be a marine mechanic, and i used red all the time. its not permanent. it holds liek all hell but a little heat will free it up easily. dotn use it on bolts that will get hot as it will not work.
i just dotn see the use for this stuff on these boats. maybe on some transom parts but thats about it.
