Your Shure Welcome
Hello TLG
Your shure welcome, its a starting point The manual gives the basic balance point to start with so you may have to play with it to get it where you want it.
Wish mine came aready built with an engine in it,hope you got a good deal on it.

MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS ENOUGH EPOXY ON THE ALIORN SERVO HATCH BLOCKS THEY ARE WEEK AND CAN BREAK AND YOU WILL GET FLUTTER AND THE WING WILL BLOW APART AND THAT WILL BE THE END OF THE PLANE TRUST ME I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE. Wing attachment points
Another thing to check is the rear wing attachment bar. The glue that is used to attach it to the side frames broke away on mine. I noticed it b4 catastrophe but another few negative maneuvers and the wing would have come off.
Also beef up the landing gear box if u have the patience. Its not real accessible but a friend of mine broke his completely out after a moderately hard landing.
Otherwise flies great!!

Hey guys, I would like to add something, I wasn't sure if it was due to engine vibration, but on flight #7, I stripped my aileron servo, and on #15 stripped the other side.....since then I sealed my hinge gaps with some Ultracote, and I haven't had a stripped servo yet, I'm now on flight #32. All the linkages are tight, I do believe it was a small amount of flutter tearing up my servos.

In case there are others putting this plane together, make sure to check out the post started by RCMAN84341, titled "Sig Extra 300xs" any problems, I've got a whole page of construction tips that I hope you can use. Peace out.
Correction, to find it, type in "Sig Extra 300xs"

I used the kit hinges put in with 30 min epoxy, The Dubro's are good too, so are the Klett and Robarts. The Sig Brand X works good, had no problems. A little tip I use is to rub Chapstick on the hinge knuckle so epoxy doesn't get in there, and "blow" some epoxy in the slot with a drinking straw, that helps make sure youv'e got enough glue. After the glue FULLY cures, pull the hinges to make sure they stay put! I've seen surfaces fly off due to poor installation. Good luck.
