Default Protection against rocks

This decent size rock has knocked teeth off my clutchbell []

I'm thinking maybe of getting some kind of mesh, similar to that of what is used on sliding doors etc to put on the tvps to stop this happening again. Thoughts?

That aint no rock! That's a freakin' boulder!

Really, I dont know what to say. I personally never had that happen to me before, but then I have not run on surfaces on which pebbles of that size are present in large numbers

WOW, i would say that that senario is one in a million, thats a huge rock. I dont think it got there by the holes on the TVP so it must have come from the top. Nice work on the pic. I doubt it would happen again but better safe than sorry IMO, make sure you post some pics of you protection screen.

ouch. I had a small pebble get stuck in my xxx-nt gearing once it just prevented the truck from moving though, then again its not a big block monster like my savage with LRP .28 spec 3 I imagine if I ever had a rock find its way in I wouldnt have much left of my spur and CB .

Thanks for the replies guys... I've just moved inner-city so there isn't many places besides this one for me to bash! It's probably not the most suitable but it is fun remolding the landscape.

It mostly did. The mesh would only protect it from the sides, and like HeatFire said it could become a potential stone collector.
