REVO vs TMAX
As every one can see I am very new to this hobbby. I am trying to decide between the revo & tmax. I love to see them do wheel stands & like to bash them. What should I buy?

RE: REVO vs TMAX
There both trucks, either one you get you wont be dissapointed with. The Revo is of a newer design but the T-Maxx isnt a bad choice, I have one and they can take some abuse, now dont expect to run into a brick wall all full throttle and expect to drive away from that. But it's all about your opinion and the people who are going to respond opinion's. Some will say the Revo is better and some will say the T-Maxx is better, some will say the T-Maxx is horrible at takling abuse and some will say it's not. But as I said before there both great truck's and either one you get you will be happy with.

RE: REVO vs TMAX
Revo won't wheelstand without serious modifications. It's designed to handle so well it's hard to get the wheels to leave the ground. Especially the 3.3. Thats what I like about it though. Nothing beats the 3 viscious diffs, it really puts the power down. Totally superior speed and handling than a T-Maxx or Savage but not the best basher.
Since you primarily want to wheelie consider a T-Maxx or a Savage, the Revo is not built for that.
Then again once the excitment of pulling wheelies down the street disappears you'll probably want a better handling vehicle.

RE: REVO vs TMAX
i have a tmaxx and i have yet to break it and i bash HARD but i also might jus be lucky EVERY jump for a year too. but what ever u get don't get a 2.5 get a 2.5r. and i wouldn't trust the 3.3 i hear there blowing up alot b/c you have to lean them out a ton to make them run. go with a 2.5r i do in my tmaxx and i have 14 going on 15 gallons through it and it still won't give up so good luck with what u buy.

Actully the part bought running into a brick wall iv done that with my tmaxx haha i didnt notice i was drifting off the road and it was to late to turn i was goin full throttle and hit it dead on (had RPM Front bumper and RPM A arms) and NOTHING broke i was expecting to be on tower finding new replacment parts but when i saw nothin broke i was like HOLY $... so yea dont say RPM sux or Tmaxx is weak cause it aint i know from experience
Oh yea i vote Tmaxx cant go wrong with it [8D]

RE: REVO vs TMAX
revo...i run with my friend and his T-maxx and the revo's suspension is just superior over the T-maxx. i can climb hills and take turns he cant. he always flips his over on turns too...i've never rolled my revo. i defintly say revo...cause are u really going to spend over 400 bucks on a truck JUST so u can do wheel stands? u might want to do other stuff and wished u would have gotten the revo.

RE: REVO vs TMAX
Well you can do other things with the T-Maxx then just do wheelies. You can do everyhting that a REVO can it just maybe a little slower or take the turn a little wider.

No no I think you took it the wrong way, yeah sometimes you can hit a brick wall and experience no broken parts. But most of the time you cant do that, I have a T-maxx and love that thing especially with the RPM arms. It's a great truck, but it seems like most of the guys are saying go with the T-Maxx so I guess you got your answer

RE: REVO vs TMAX
t-maxx gets my vote, i haven't broke 1 arm since i have owned my maxx. its 3 1/2 years old and on its second motor and has the a arms that came from the factory on it. i break bulks like crazy tho lol. i don't like the revo if you ask me it is a very ugly truck and it looks like the design of it would never work, but when you see it in action that design works VERY well. my maxx is 2wd and has a 3.3 in it so i can pull wheelies from 2nd gear, and if im wide open on backtop it will shift and the front wheels start coming off the ground (coolist thing you have even seen lol). get the maxx you will be happy with it.

RE: REVO vs TMAX
revo gets my vote; my 2.5 will drag the rear wing all day long. just needed a bb is all. actually takes more effort to keep the wheels on the ground than get them off. i'm thinking i may need to put the Center Diff in just to keep it on the ground with the new axial .28.

RE: REVO vs TMAX
For bashing and wheelies, I say go with the T-Maxx. (My 2.5R T-Maxx can wheelie) If you're going to be racing then get the Revo....but the T-Maxx can be made into a great racer, that's what I'm doing (it just costs a little more)

RE: REVO vs TMAX
i have both and i would say there about the same just revo newer and revo a little better handling,
you could get the t maxx 3.3 it has some revo parts on it
kind of best of both worlds lol

RE: REVO vs TMAX
i put an os.18tm motor in my maxx i used to have and had stiff blue springs on it. you couldn't keep the front end down. i was tired though of the ill handling. if i turned slightly at 15 mph it would barrell roll. i did do alot of suspension settings and nothing worked so i dumped it and got a savage and a revo.
