Actually the stock clutches work well according to my LHS and their only like $8, so you may wanna try another set before swapping. May have just been defective

He could go back stock, but I know from experience that the MIP shoes last longer than stock ones and they are a direct replacement.

Sorry to hear that, but I have always had better reults from MIP than stock. I have never had a set come apart, all of mine just wear down. I guess it's all about how it's set up. You can install them backwards, maybe that is what happened. Darn teenagers.

Try the Integy 7075 clutch conversion. They should work. Here's the link: [link]http://integy.automated-shops.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_prod.html?p_prodid=4362&p_catid=29&sid=4wSJJh1k [email protected][/link]

Sorry XpressHobby.com, but that is not a good setup at all. I am sure I am not alone on that opinion. I actually melted a set to the bell and everyone I know that has ran them did not like them at all. Now you can use the three shoe flywheel and trim down three stock style shoes and that would work great, I have seen it done. That would last alot longer than the Integy shoes.

That is exactly what I did on my t-maxx. Bought the integy 3 shoe clutch, cooked it in one afternoon, smoked the shoes, wore a groove in my clutchbell with my spring and then snapped the spring. I ended up putting 3 shortened stock fiber shoes on and it works like a charm

There have been many people saying the aluminum shoes are the worst setup.
