RE: v6 engine
so how do they distribute the fuel into the cylinders? i noticed there is a belt to some part on the front so is it turning some kind of valve system?

RE: v6 engine
Most two stroke engines (except full size diesel engines like a Detroit 6-52) have the fuel drawn into the crankcase on the upstroke, allowing the oil to coat the internal parts. Then on the downstroke, the fuel is forced into the combustion chamber through the intake ports and is then compressed and ignited on the next upstroke.

RE: v6 engine
but wont all the pistons equalize the pressure? while the one is going up the other is going down so isnt there the same amount of pressure? i could understand if there was a supercharger or something on it but there dosent seem to be one on that engine.

RE: v6 engine
If it was crankcase induction you would be correct, there would be no scavenging from the crankcase and therefore no fuel / air getting to the top side of the pistons.
This motor appears to have inlet straight into the cylinder, controlled by the rotary valve, and piston ported exhaust as usual. Looks nice mind.

RE: v6 engine
As the piston travels down the bore it creates negative pressure, the valve will be timed to open during this down stroke. Piston porting with a rotary valve too!!
I am assuming this motor must also have some lubrication provision for the bottom end, wet sump. Not sure. Maybe you can ask MHZ if they have a manual for it or some tech documents you can look at?

RE: v6 engine
wouldnt there be no negative pressure bc the cylinder is firing? to me it seems there will be a little positive pressure bc its a 2 stroke. i could see how it would work w a 4 stroke but the 2 stroke has a power stroke every time. but i think i will contact mhz. im not to sure how willing they will be to send me information on it though bc there arent very many engines i know of like that. but ill give it a try.
