Default Spoke Wheel/Clutch Suggestions

Hi Everyone! I have an older RC10GT which I decided to run again. It was never really run that much when I first had it, so its still in pretty good condition, and has an OS (.12 I believe) in it. Now today, when it finally started, the clutch bell got so hot that it actually melted some of the spokes off of the spoke wheel (I'm not sure the actual name of it, but its the part that spins off of the clutch bell) . So, what are your suggestions for a new spoke wheel? I would prefer a metal one, since I'm changing it out anyway. Also, I've seen a lot of posts about the MIP clutchs. Should I change that out while I'm at it?

I appreciate the help!

-Chris

The "spoke wheel" is the spur gear. RPM makes a hardened steel replacement. If you go that route, you need to run hardened steel clutch bells as well. I would replace the clutch shoes and springs as well.

Good luck.

Thank You!

I order a Robinson Racing steel spur gear which comes with a new clutch bell. I also ordered the MIP 4-N-1 clutch.

Thanks for the help!
