RE: F15 / Supersport Suggestions???
Avonds
Skymaster
Extreme jets
Jetlegend.
All will fly with a supersport, the last three are all very similar.
MW54 versions take off from tarmac after a long roll,
P120 versions look great fun, verticals possible.
a supersport equipped one, well its a draggy jet the F15, but will weigh between 22-25lbs dry with a P120 or equivalent so with a SS you will still have over 0.75:1 thrust to weight, enough for fun, but maybe not great verticals.
maybe someone who has flown one will know.

The supersport is a great engine but the F15 need atleast a 120 to have fun.
It doesnt go any faster with a 120 but take offs are quicker and you get decent verticals

RE: F15 / Supersport Suggestions???
Hi
I had a Avonds F15 with a MW54, very nice engine.
This configuration was just missing some power.
Today i fly my old F15 with a Hawk 100R, and to be onest unfortunatly with a very bad installation. I only have 8,3 kg of static thrust and a bad sound. The engine produces 11,5kg of thrust.
The modell has close to vertical performance and more than enough power.
If you by a Avonds F15 of old modell you will get a empty weight around 9,5kg and the new ARF F15 around 11,5kg .
My new ARF F15 has atleast the same performance as the old one because the installation is much better.
My opinion is that a Supersport will be more than enough for you in a Avonds F15.
You have a video on my F15 when I had a 10.5kg of thrust engine inside and a static thrust around 7,3kg on this link.
