Default picco .26 maxx or orion wasp .28

I can get both of these in my revo for about the same price. I have played with my friends mgt with a wasp 28 and it just puts out so much torque i just have got to have a more powerfull engine. please dont tell me to get an os 18, it is a GREAT engine but i have become power hungry. The os just doesnt put out enough torque or top end i cant get it to rev out in deep grass. my friends mgt balloons 6.5 inch tires in the same grass at the same speed and revs out nicely. I am going to cosider the picco .26 though becuase i have heard great things about it. its just the air leak thing is kinda scary. Also has anyone had any problems putting the wasp in there revos with the traxxas kit. one last thing will the backplate that comes with rotostart fit the wasp, if it doesnt can someone post a link to one that does fit.

Well without a BB kit no standarf .26-.28 will fit. Only the Picco .26 is a mid-block[8D]

If your gonna get a bb kit get the new era kit. The traxxas kit doesn't fit a lot of motors because they all hit the rear a-arm. Go with the picco 26. Its a MUCH better motor then the wasp. Or even the lrp because its just as good alll around motor. The picco 26 has been know for air leaks...

The new era kit is the cheaper way to go, it will be more expensive in the long run. Somebody else posted that it ruined two of his engines, don't ask how but he just wrote it would have been $300 cheaper in the long run for him to get the Qconepts one. Get the Qconcepts, better all around mount. Also it doesn't point your engine at a ridiculous angle.

Is it the pro version? If not, DO NOT get the wasp .28, I had it for 1 month b4 literally throwing it in the trash.

first off, an STS D30M, the matching STS 0702 pipe, and the new-era engine mount together cost $212. cheaper than the picco (< doesn't come with a pipe).

second, the picco .28 is about the same price as the .26max (engine only).

third, if you want to use the Qconceps kit and not use a bump starter you will have to but the Tekno extended rear a-arms. here's a pic: http://monster.traxxas.com/showthrea...ing+mount+flex post number 30

if you run the tekno extended wheelbase arms you can run a roto start on the back of an engine with the qoncepts engine mount, or go the cheap way and put a rubber wheel on a cordless drill and use that to start then engine, it works.

edit-brushless, you beat me to it lol

i just installed the picco on my revo, tons of power plus i used the ez start on it because imo just easier starting.
so far no issues with motor.

Dude the picco .26max is too much motorAnything more like the picco p3(.28) is just insane. If you want tons of power the picco .26 will fill quench your thirst. If you ugrade to anything more powerful than the 3.3 than you should upgrade your diffs to rr hardened units. The stock trx 3.3 chewed 3 teeth off of my rear diff.
