i'm going to by Fuji 24cc engine with magneto ignition for 2m giles 202, which i'm building now and will become not more than 3kg without engine.
the question is: will magneto relay on reciever working? won't this cause some failiures in FM or PCM radio?
now i have HITEC ECLIPSE (FM40) bot going to by FUTABA 7C(PCM)

Hey Bako! Long Time, no hear....where have you been hiding? There should be no reason why a magneto ignition should not work with PPM; the key is getting it set up right so as to eliminate any source of interference. If by magneto relay, you mean some sort of kill switch, I think that there should be no reaseon that will not work as well; especially the optical ones, so there is no physical connection between receiver and engine.
There are those who will say "never use Hitec with petrol engines", but I will leave that from them to say. There are also those that will ask why you don't get "some other engine brand". I will leave it to them as well

heya all. i'm now teching in Kharjkov aviation institute in Ukraine, so rc hobbie isn/t so active now. after 2 weeks i'll have to cmplete the Diplom work on theme sport plene, which i'll engineared in 4 years

All this talk about PCM, PPM, etc...
I wonder how we ever flew magneto gassers 40 YEARS ago with AM and no fancy radios or shielding ? Q35s, G38s, Q52s etc...Betcha ED Cregger was there

I fly my QQ YAK 54 with a Brillelli 40cc gasser and Hitec servos, an Airtronics receiver, and a JR radio. Now thats a combo.

I think that 24cc engine from FUJI is too heavy and less powerfull for 2m(78inc) airplane(if you want it for 3D flight).
here will be good choise 45-50cc gas engine
