M1A2 Abrams Parts
Hello all, Like most of you I to was bitten by the TANK bug. I currently have 2 21st century M1A2 Abrams and I saw the damage from others running theres outside, so..... I'm having my local machine shop make me a complete set of running gear out of 6061 Aluminum stock IE drive sprockets, Roadwheels with bearings, road arms and real machined T-28 track with real rubber pads. also I'm having the lower hull made of 1/8 in Aluminum plate for strength! They asked me if thier was a market for these parts, I've looked far and wide across the internet and can't seem to find them. would any of you be interested in some of these? Because the more I have made the cheaper they are. thx Greg AKA Spearhead

Hi there
Road wheels would be on my list. Can you pm me more details please.
Tracks as well but I would guess shipping to UK would kill the tracks for me.
cheers

spearhead,
That's a great price for all that custom stuff. Now for the hard question and I will put this gently. Why would anyone want to spend $1000 for running gear for a $80 plastic 'toy' tank. Don't mean to insult but the 21st Cent Abrams is a low quality toy made for mass sales at Walmart. So are my HL tanks but then again I'm not going to put $1k into them.
Once you have finished upgrading the rest of the tank to accomadate these components you will be in it for much more. New motors, gearboxes, electronics, you get my point.
Not trying to insult but it just doesn't make sense.
