RCP is taking pre-orders now, http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69131

Release time should be in the next 4 - 6 weeks!

On The Axial site the price is $400 or so but everywhere I've seen them there around $250 is this just the pre-order price (not that it matters ill be preordering 1 anyway)

Yeah, the wheels have been hit and miss unfortunately.

Some have have no issues, others have have lots!

I'm sure they will address the issues.

i hope so man im bummmed on the wheels. waited forever for em and they stripped, then their customer service center blammed me for them stripping. [X(] and the tires just not the kinda compound us kids were looking for, not to mention the smell.
i wish them luck but they need to work on their customer service big time.

I cancelled my order and bought a Wheely King 4x4 and WOW I love it. I slip-locked the diffs, switched the axles so the battery's up front and switched the tires to reverse the tread pattern and wow it performed far better then I expected. I havent even stretched the wheelbase yet!!
One question, I wanna buy a battery pack from cheapbatterypacks.com and I need to know what type of wire i need.

Why is that?

It is still just a TVP chassis w/ a four link suspension.

IMO, any dialed SW2, SW3, J2-TT, XRC, ect... w/ TLT or WK axles will hand it it's butt, as they have been built to spec.

Now, after the Scorpion has been out a while and tweaked, it will probably do OK.

Don't expect to show up at a comp w/ a stock Scorpion and expect to mop the field, it isn't going to happen.
