Default Decals - What's best

I want to rename my planes. What is the best way to remove the exisitng decals and also, what is a good way to make my own custom decals?

Slightly heating the decals will help loosen the adhesive. Residue can be cleaned off with a variety of solvents. Starting fluid works very well, just test it on your surface beforehand (I have never seen it hurt monokote).

Sign vinyl works great for home made decals. You can get free scraps at most sign makers. I print out what I want on the computer, tape it over my vinyl, and sit down with a few new #11 blades. The plane below is all hand cut vinyl graphics.
