Laptop for RealFlight?
I would like to run RealFlight G3.5 on a laptop computer. I was wondering if someone could suggest which would be the best buy? (Brand, Memory, Price, etc.) I would like to practice 3D manuevers.
Thanks for any help?

RE: Laptop for RealFlight?
Any "current" laptop will do just fine. Just try to get around 128 to 256 MB of video ram. I've noticed it relies heavily on the quality of the video card.
I run mine on an HP laptop (1.6Ghz pentium m, ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9600 graphics controller 64MB) It freezes frames from time to time, but runs fairly sharply otherwise.

This will play G3.5 and then some. Heck of a processor (AMD 64 bit +4000 is the estimated equivalent to a Pentium 4 at 4.0ghz). And a x600 ATI GPU with 128 Video RAM, which will run nearly anything. Comes with a gig of ram, I don't really think you need any more then that,

G3.5 runs just fine on my Gateway M460. Pentium M 1.86 GHz, 1MB Ram, ATI Mobility Radeon X600.
I bought it in Nov 2005 for $1400, so you can probably find something with similar performance for dirt cheap.

This one will do great: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220163 It has a dx 10 gpu as well... w/ 256mb of GDDR3 memory. That laptop also has a dvi input for high definition video output. You might want to get another gig of DDR2 memory though with it, so vista will run super smooth. It also has a core 2 duo processor running at 800FSB, which is extremely good for a laptop. You will be able to play direct X 10 games!
