Default Please Help The New Guy

Hey guys my name is Sam and I am live in Cleveland. I am a toal R/C newbie.

I have recently gotten into R/C cars through a friend.

I purchased a pro-pulse B100 from Radio Shack, It seems some people are not too fond of this car, but the price was right for me (I am a person who might drive this for a few days get bored and never drive a R/C again)

One of the shocks cracked and it leaked oil, do I have to buy the Pro-Pule shocks or can I buy any shocks? I looked in the manual that comes with it but its not much help. Also, how do install the shocks.

Also, to replace the bumpers, do they need to be that brand?

I am a VERY VERY inexperienced driver and really don't know much about this hobby is there a web site with FAQ's that can help me along the way?

Thanks so much,

Sam

People dont like to PP because its just a cheap version of the "better brands"
I think, im not shure, the RC18B parts might fit it if its the buggy version, if its the truggy version mabye the RC18T parts.
Go to www.thetoyz.com and look at both cars i mentioned, look at the cars them selfs, the hop-up (hop-up = upgrade parts. Aluminium, parts etc.) parts and if your still at all unshure, email the owner of the store he will help in anyway possible, thetoyz is a great company to deal with.
Hope this helps.

Nothing wrong with it where it is. Welcome to the forum. Be advised though that there is a micro car forum for all 'small' cars, I think there are some lengthy threads about your car too...

Basically, as for the shocks....all you need to do is find out their length, diameter, etc.....and then search for shocks that "fill" the same dimensions. They can be found.....but it might take a while. Which is what makes this hobby challenging to me. Good luck in your search and hope this helps.
