G62 and bigger carb
Ok all you hot rodders! One of my many qusetions for today. My G62 has a Walbro HDA48 carb (15.08mm venturi), has anyone tried the HDA49 (17.46mm venturi)? How about any other larger carb? Good results, same, worse? Would like to know before I may waste money. TIA

At the RPM we run the G-62, a bigger carb is not much use. The engine can only use so much air.
Now if we turned them like the boat guys do then a different story. These dudes are running g-62 based engines at over 12,000 rpm.

True enough. All the Zenoah RC airplane engines are designed to produce max HP at around 9000RPM, but you can retune it to shift the power band higher, though. Zenoah does that on the G23 for other applications.
