Default Super Tigre fix for any size

I read a lot about people having problems with Super Tigre engines. I have a 45, a 90, a 2300, and a 3000. I don't have any problems with any of these engines. I was told be an old guy years ago to make sure the fuel nipple on the carburetor is pointed at the rear engine mount bolt hole. The way these carburetors are set up they are very sensitive to being off angle for the spray bar. Just a tip I wanted to share.

the fuel nipple on the carb has to face the left hand rear engine mount hole(as viewed from above with prop driver facing away),it does make a huge difference.

Yea about 4 o'clock would do the trick i believe. If you ever have the carb apart you will see the jets on the carb will face straight down with the nipple at the right angle. It really does work good.

I bought a 2300 from a guy here on RCU for 120 bucks that looks like it may have been just broke in. The nipple was pointing at the sky instead of the bolt hole. I adjusted it and it runs real good. i think it may even be just broke in with not too many flights on it. Either that or the guy I bought it from takes realllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy good care of his engines.

Another note.......Remember that Super Tigre "big blocks" really like their fuel. I have my high needle set at almost 3 1/2 turns for it to be adjusted to max rpms. Most other engines are 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 turns.
