li ion charger.....
Hey I am using a Duratax ICE charger and was wondering if anyone else was using it to charge their LI-IONs ?? I am charging my 4800mah fromecos with it. These are the first li-ions I have owned. I have alot of Li-Pos, and it seems like they charge alike. But the li-ions take forever to charge it seems like.
My settings are Li-Ion
7.2v
4800mah
4.8 amp charge

RE: li ion charger.....
You'll find that Lithium Ions take longer to charge because they won't take the input current that lithium polymer will. If you watch the amperage going in to them, it's nowhere near the 4.8 amps you're setting it at, probably more like 1 amp or so. When you put more amperage in, the charger sees full voltage from them, so it turns down it's charge rate. This is why it takes longer to charge them. Just because you specify 4.8 amps, doesn't mean you'll get it.
