Default Peak model 65 / GS65 RTF weight

There is a long thread on this engine but the weight issue is never really clarified. For those who have it AND measured the weight personally: what if the weigh tof the engine with muffler and ignition? I have seen at least 3 specs listed by different sellers with numbers differing by almost a pound!

Also, has it been veryfied that G62 muffler fits?

Many thanks

Andy,
No, the G-62 muffler does not fit. I went ot the hobby store Saturday and the bolt holes are way smaller than the Peak 65.

Andy,
by the way. The engine is WAYY light. It is definitely worth the money. Very Very powerful and runs great. Very loud, but I like loud. The muffler has no baffling in it, that is why it is so loud and probably so powerful. The muffler is more like a header. Also, it is a GAS Guzzler. Do not attempt to fly for more than 8 minutes. SERIOUSLY. I dead sticked it twice the first two times I flew. I couldn't believe the engine quit when it was running so good. When I landed and checked the fuel, Empty. It quit only because it had no fuel. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Could you measure the didtance between the muffler mounting holes? There has to be a good muffler out there that fits!

Andy,
The distance is 2 1/4 inches. You can see pics of my engine mounted on my 85" Extra 260 in the Peak model 65 forum.

Default RE: Peak model 65 / GS65 RTF weight

Just got my engine in the mail. Looks OK fo rthe price. 2 questions

1. I can, with some effort, turn the engine through TDC just by grabbing the hub (no prop). Is this normal? How tight is yours? I have bigger engines (3W-157), which are much tighter--I realize, of course, that seze makes a big differene here.

2. Spark plug. It is Jenn Feng 9295-32001. 14mm plug--but it looks crappy. Where can I find a replacement? Which plug fits?

Thanks
