Default Wing Sheeting mistake ???

Was not careful reading the posts and used Titebond instead of Probond to sheet my first foam wing... Is that bad ? Should I take everything apart before it is too late ???

Thanks,

Philippe

Default Wing Sheeting mistake ???

I have used both Probond (polyurethane) and tite-bond (aliphatic) glues for sheeting. The polyurethane is far superior. I would try to gently pull off the sheeting. If it is really bonded good all over, then you can go ahead and use the wing.
My guess is that you will find it fairly loose on the foam. Unfortunately, it may be just stuck good enough to ruin both the sheeting and the foam. good luck.

Default Wing Sheeting mistake ???

Unless the glue is still wet (after 7 days I doubt it....) I wouldn't even attempt to pull off the sheeting. I tried this once on some sheeting that appeared not be bonded well at all to the foam (it had buckled in places....) and ended up pulling alot of foam off with it. If the skins are questionable, order a new set of cores and start over. If, however, the skins look to be well bonded, fly the snot out of 'em!

Default it worked, er... glued

Switched to Gorilla for the 3 remaining wing sides but the titebond is holding OK.
Lesson learned, the plyurethane glue works great...

Thanks,

P.
