Default Mystery Engine!!!!!

I recently aquired this beautiful piece of machinary. I have no Idea of it's history, brand, usage etc. any ideas out there. I estimate it at about 4.7ci. It has a built-in spark sensor and an electronic ignition. any info on this would be great!!!

Case looks somewhat like a Prcision Eagle, but I don't what the cylinder could be.

believe that is a Villines engine or perhaps a Challenge machine engine with a husky jug sporting the custom head modification. Have two 7.3 huskys like it.

Never saw a Husky with cylinder fins that close together...The hub looks like a Challenger, but I think Russ used C&H ignition...Maybe Al Diem (Silent Spark) knows what it is ?
Whoever did it could sell more, it's really nicely done....
The pictures on the Mecoa website of Randy's engine showed a cast crankcase, and it was about a 3.7...

SO, It runs!!! but I cant get any top end and it seems to be very rich. One problem is that you cant adjust the carb. while it is running as the needles all point forward toward the prop! The carb. is a Tillotson and has an extra adjustment that I dont rcognose (see arrow). Any Idea what it is? It seems to be a VERY coarse mixture adjust.

Any suggetsions on getting it running right?

Hey guys, Watch this.....

unfortunately due to the design of the carb and where the pressure port is on the cylinder, it cannot be turned over.

That extra needle is the choke. When you rotate it, you will see it move in and out a bit. There should be a detent all the in and all the way out. Out is choke on and in is normal run.
Whit the choke in the normal needles will adjust OK.

The carb is probably a tillotson injector carb. as mentioned the slanted knob is a choke and if not in the proper position will affect running. This carb was also used on some Sachs 4.2 chainsaws. A good replacement is a SDC 80

Injector is a misnomer, it's just a normal gasser Tillotson with a different way to choke it...I had forgotten about these engines..About 4.2 cubic inches...Some were converted to methanol to use as race engines in our USRA racing series...Last one I saw was in Glendale, AZ on Mike Hatfield's Formula One plane at a race promoted by Dave Bridi and Leslie Burnett...It was a real shaker and was not successful...The carb can be rotated by using a pressure fitting in the case and another in the back cover of the carb...Nothing wrong with it the way it is, just be aware of the way the choke works...Some of the carbs had a small screw holding the rotator mechanism in, some were just pressed in..A SDC80 will work fine, no difference in the way it performs or where the pulse hole is, you won't gain anything by changing it....The cylinder and piston are probably a 4.4 Husqvarna, 72 ccs...If anyone wants another I know where a lower end is minus the cylinder and piston.....Don't know what the price is, there are a few NIB gasoline versions available, last price I heard was about $800....
