Default A&M Sachs 5.8 needs to go on a diet

anyone know how much weight I'd lose by changing out the stock magneto ignition with an electronic one?
Motor weighs 8 lbs now with muffler and spring start

think I answered my own question.
dropping the flywheel, dust cover and magneto drops the weight around 1.3lbs
dropping the spring starter drops almost another 1/3-1/2 lb

anyone have an electronic ignition for sale? prefer one with auto advance

If you really need your engine put on a strict diet, send it to Ralph at RC Ignitions for a dose of his EI conversion and lightening work. I am sure that you will be more than pleased with the end result which also carries a lifetime warranty on all his work.

Find the weight of a Brison 5.8. Your Sachs can end up pretty close to the same.
