Default New Bobcat flies

Hey guys..

Good friend of mine and fellow Team JR member Jon Vance just got air under the wings of his new Bobcat Std for the 1st time this weekend.

Jon built the airplane, and Bill Brundle finished it. Those of you who know Bill know the quality of his finish work.

Jon asked me to do the test flights as he's still pretty new to the jet game. In typical Bobcat fashion.. the flights were completely uneventful and smooth as silk. All it took was 5 units (max trim resolution) of left aileron trim and it was perfect. Landing was a breeze.

JetCAT P-80 powered.
JR PCM 10X

Jon has a 2nd Bobcat (XL this time, P-120 powered) almost done, and a Super Balsa Bandit on the way. He's got the jet bug in a big way now.

Yeah.. Pendleton last Sunday. Was a perfect day really.. 68 degrees, light wind right down the runway, no clouds.

Going to take it out again this Sunday I think and get Jon really comfortable on the airplane using the JR Pilot Link in the 10X.

Well, we certainly know Jon is quite the pilot, so I'm sure it will be no peob for him.
Have fun!
