Default 27%+50CC too much power?

HI
I have a 27% Bob Godfrey(spell right?).
I currently fly with Webra 120. But I need to change to motor because it's underpower.

If you guys tried put 50cc gas engine to 27% airplane,is it way too much power?
I will install smoke system too.

I'd like to try it. But I need your advice.

Thank you

You can always throttle back. The real problem I see is a really high wing loading, and C/G problem with an introduction to your 27%er of a 50cc power plant and ignition, more fuel on board, larger prop, another battery switch and maybe regulator, smoke system, and most likely lead in the tail to obtain the proper C/G. The smaller an airframe is, the more critical wing loading becomes and the effects it has on the flight characteristics . Just food for thought.
