4-stroke for a 5 to 5.5 lb plane ?
I need to make a decision on a 4-stroke engine for a 5 to 5.5 lb fun-fly plane.
I know a YS-63 will do the job, but I'm not sure I want the hassles of a YS. Saito make a 72 and an 80 and OS makes a 70. The Saito 72 is quite a bit lighter than the OS.
Anyone have experience with these engines in a plane of that weight ? Power, transition, prop used ???
Thanks,
Craig.

I don't think there will be anything about a Saito 72 you won't like.
Light, powerful, great transition, idles well, durable, economical.

my 5.3 lb hard bet goes great with a saito 72. More stuff than the irvine 53 I had on it before. more than enough for hover and pullout
