FIJR

It's FIJR week and the flying site is almost ready to go. We'll put the finishing touches on things Wednesday morning and start with some informal flying Wednesday afternoon. Yes - there has been a runway change (about 50 feet wider) due to airport construction. The set up area is larger with plenty of room on both ends of the flightline. Should work out well for everyone.

The weather forcast gets better and better each day which will make Thurasday through Sunday another great time.

As mentioned in a previous post, we are having our awards presentation and dinner at the site following Saturday flying. Good food, plenty to drink- beer, bottled water and tea - soft drinks your on your own. It should be fun.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Lake Wales.

John,
Any chance of a map for parking since its a different location?
Johnny, Boli and I will probably all be arriving Wednesday after dark. It would be nice to know where to go with the RVs.

Go the end of the road beyond where we have been in the past. Go through the gate to your left and navigate on to the taxiway running east west and go east - left. If David Carter is there, park near him. If not park on the ramp area (large square paved area) and I will spot you when I arrive Thursday AM. We may put all the Motor Homes on pavement if that is agreeable to everyone. There will be a security guard on site who will probably check you out.
