Jet Glider
Can anybody suggest what size/Type glider will accept a P80 turbine.
Want summit different to play with and having seen glider/Turbine combos, looks like alot of fun.
So, if you guide me in the right direction, le me know.
Many Thanks
Peter G

RE: Jet Glider
You are looking at something pretty big Peter, I would say 1/3rd scale, probably +5 metres span, there are lots of nice artf's around now, particularly of Eastern European origin. Might be an idea to post in the sailplane forums here.
Just finishing off a near 1/4 scale Salto v-tail sailplane myself for turbine power, it's 142 inch span and built from an old Pat Teakle kit, finished weight will still give around 1:1 T/W with a 5Kg thrust donkey.
Rob.

RE: Jet Glider
Rob
Thanks for the reply.
I have my eye on a 5 mtr sailplane that a chap is flogging, but it is a few years old now!!!!
Just been looking at the Jess Nichols site, and they do a reasonably priced 4.2 mtr glider, but really unsure as to what size glider will sustain the weight of Turbine and Fuel etc etc.
Regards
Peter
