3W engines 2 questions
#1:
Is it worth the extra expense for the CS series when you compare the spec of the 170iB2 and the 170TSCS?
#2
Is it worth it to go from the: 170iB2 to the 200B2TS
or from the : 170TSCS ti the 200TSCS
when you look at power to weight ratio?

RE: 3W engines 2 questions
I have preferred to use the single spark CS series. Don't care for the added weight of the second ignition. The 170 is the better of the 170/200 series. One of the fliers at my filed got rid of his 200 in favor of a 157CS. The 170 wasn't out yet. I've had four 3W engines. -75i, -80CS, 106b2, 157b2CS. YMMV

RE: 3W engines 2 questions
Hi,
The 200 is a bit of a dog and I think the 170 is a better performer. I always use the standard engine rather than one to the improved ones. If you are going for every bit of power necessary then one of the optimized models would be the choice.

RE: 3W engines 2 questions
the high end series is fine if you compete at a high level but for the average joe the cs single spark will be all you will ever need,as far as the 170 goes it has the weight of a 150 but the power to out pull the 200,it is a john deere in the air
