the 2.5 is cc's. All the .18's, .21's and .26's are all ci. so the 2.5 is equivalent to a .15

okay heres a bit of a table for you outlining the displacement of a few popular engine sizes in both cubic inches (on the left) and cubic center meters (on the right)

Small blocks

.12 CI - 2.11CC
.15 CI - 2.5CC
.18 CI - 3.0CC
.20 CI - 3.3CC

Big Blocks

.21 CI - 3.46CC
.23 CI - 3.7CC
.25 CI - 4.1CC
.26 CI - 4.26CC
.28 CI - 4.68 CC
.30 CI - 5.0cc
.32 CI - 5.2CC

a mid block is created when elements of a big block are put into an engine that will fit where a small block would usually, for example, the RB Tm523 is a .23 (or 3.74CC) engine, which would normally make is a big block, it also has a big block sized exhaust port so it can use big block exhaust systems, but the crank case is shorter then that of a true big block so it will fit into a revo and T maxx which both have small blocks as standard, so it is a mid block engine, another example is the picco .26 max, which is .26 engine, but again the crank case is shorter, and the exhaust port is smaller then a true big block to allow it to use the stock exhaust system on the revo and t maxx.
