Touring car Bumpers from scratch
I was building my TT-01 kit last night and noticed that the rear end does not have a skid plate like the TC3, instead its identical to the front where a bumper can be mounted. But the kit only comes with 1 bumper. I also found the bumper to be a little small for the body.
So here is what I did.
Converted my soldering gun into a hot wire styrofoam cutter. Replace soldering tip with a thick wire from a coat hanger, then bend it and make a bow like shape and secure one end to the gun. Then use a thin copper wire, attach it at opposite end of the bow, then pull slightly to put tension on the wire and secure other end of wire to the gun.
Works great. Excellent for arts and crafts, may be useful for airplane builders. Thought I share the idea.
