Here's a couple of pics of my Northwest Hobby Technoligies R-2 all ready to fly. 85" wing span, 23lbs, 3.2 Sachs. Covered in 21st Century prepainted fabric, trimmed w/ Krylon. Grafics by ModelGrafix.
Bad weather this weekend will prevent test flying till next weekend.

Very Nice..
I like the exhaust streaks...I saw the wheelpant detail before.... nice spinnernut, dummy engine, and paintjob came out great, just a dang nice R2! I've seen the in-progress shots, and I am very impressed with the final product. Bravo!
EDIT HERE:
Man, you get that thing off that {green} carpet, and I'd use pic 1 for wallpaper!! LOL

Great Job!
Great Job on that R2!!!!
Can't wait to see a flight report with a few inflight pics!
You say you used Krylon paints... Do you have to cover Krylon with something else to make it fuel proof or is the kyrlon ok on its own?

Hey guys, thanks for all the nice words. I hope to fly it this weekend, if the weather will just cooperate. I'll post a flying report and pics if we get to fly it.

Paul's Gee Bee from California is 40%. I think Paul browses these forums, but not sure. Actually was by his house today. Plane is getting close. After seeing the plane evolve over the past four years from plug to mold to a fuse and now almost ready, it is certainly a big project. I believe it is powered by a 3W 240. Weight is like 70lbs. He hopes to fly it in spring.
Here's a few photos.

Wow, Good Lord!
Geez, what I'd give for one of those. But unfortunately I'd have to trade my car to be able to afford, hehe.
And talk about having first flight jitters any pics of the inside?

I have had my eye on the NW hobby line. Was the foam/ sheeting method as EZ as they say? Also, any ballpark on what weight she is at (I hear this kit is very light)
Nice work! I hope she flys this weekend.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the interest in the NW HobbyTechnologies line. the website address is:
http://www.nwhobbytechnologies.com/
We've got a fresh special events page right now, Dick Pettit from R/C Report did a review on our GeeBee 'Y' and gave us some gorgeous photos.
Hey TLH101, I'd sure like to get some of your photos for our website. It looks like you've done a fine job on your R2, although this is the first I've seen of it! I stole the two shots you posted here. My wife remarked on the irony that you actually took the shots the way I ask for them, well lit without clutter in the background, and then didn't send them to us to show off on the website! Hope you'll do us the honor of sending us some with some background on how it went for you, and of course, in-flight photos are (drool, drool...) always welcome!
