Default wheel broke

my wheel broke today! I guess it landed a bad way off a jump. Didn't even get too much air or anything. The nut and bearings are still on but the plastic cracked up the side of the wheel and caused to to fall off. How can I get the tire off because it is glued on tough. Does this happen often to people? Any wheel / tire recommendations for a 1/10 scale exceed rc buggy? Should I get ones with foam inserts? I don't think mine has them.

Just boil the tires off the rim. Should take 15 mins on one side flip it over and do the over side for 15 mins. Becareful there will be hot water inside teh tire.
