can u paint ultracote.
i was wondering if u can paint covering like monocote or ultracote.
i am covering a 30 in span p40 for parkflying.
i dont want to use the tissue due to strength issues.
ccan u paint it

personally, I wouldnt even use just monocote on that small a plane. Most park flyers that are covered in film use special light film. I would think if you used mono or ultracote, and painted over it, it would make the plane too heavy to fly well. On the gws foam planes I use just paint and I have to keep it thin to keep from affecting the weight. What kind of plane is it?

i thought so,
it is a guillows kit i was going for about 12 to 14 oz all up.
it has home made ailerons on it and will be 2 servos and esc
and combos to suggest other than this
the servos are eflight micros

Can you paint over ultracote on a 60 size plane, say for making camoflouge on the plane where the base is left the ultracote color and the alternate color is sprayed on?
