Big problem need help
I have a Duratrax Axis 1/8th scale buggy. I put a Power Racing .27 motor in it. Now in the middle of running forward it will stop and go in reverse. Its a single speed trans with forward only. So how and why is this happing. Thanks in advance.

Sounds as if the engine starts running backwards. Will it stop and go back forwards? If it was me , I'd try a colder plug and see if that helped. I'm stumped though so maybe someone with a little more knowledge will jump in here and be of more help.

sounds like it backfired and then started to rotate in reverse, i would do what grits said and maybe add one of the smallest shims to the head to lower compression.
