Default Tire choice and adapter question

What tires are a good tire for grass and dirt ?? I have bowtie tires on my revo now and all it does is spin them through the grass . And a problem I keep having w/ the wheel adapters is that the nuts keep coming off , it has the 17mm adapters on it , would the 23mm conversion help cure this problem ?? I have used some loctite on the nuts and it seems to help for 2 or 3 tanks . Also I have beadlocks on my truck , do I need to buy a special tire for beadlock rims ??

If lock-tite doesn't work on the nuts for the 17mm then try putting teflon tape around the threads. That should hold them in place. The 23mm adapters are the same as the 17mm adapters but are just bigger. So either way you will run into this problem. I know me and many thers have used this conversion and lock-tite usually solves it for good. What brand of hex's are you running?

A good tire to grip in grass would be [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_58/products_id/4793]Losi Zombie-Maxx tires[/link]. I run these and they hook up great on basically everything(still waiting to try them on snow).

No you do not need to buy special tires to mount onto beadlock wheels. I actually have my zombie maxx tires on beadlock wheels.

if you want grip, i got the immex swamp dawgs and they grip hard in any terrain. on gravel they will throw bolders at you. and maybe you need a lil more lock tite. i use it on mine and i haven't had a problem since.

Pro-Line MUclchers come in 40 Series and will fit the Axila Beadlocks. Link --> [link=http://www.impaktrc.com/product_info.php?products_id=59]Pro-Line Mulcher (40 Series)[/link]

I use the Ofna 17mm Adapters and I have never had any problems with the the nuts coming off, but I used Loctite on them from the start.

I have a set, this is what they looked like new

This is what they look like after about 3 months mostly run on concrete & asphalt.

They should last a good while if you run on mostly grass & dirt
