Dual batteries and Whip antennas
A couple more simple questions as I try to complete my 27% Extra.
1. For those of you using dual batteries can you go with standard switches or do I need to go with heavy duty? Also, I'm assuming you cannot mix voltages (4.8 and 6.0).
2. Has anyone ever used a whip antenna on this size plane? If you have where do you mount it at. I'm planning on building a small platform in the turtle deck and running it out the top. The other thought I had was to mount it on the side of the plane.
Thoughts????

Dual batteries and Whip antennas
Giday Scott,
1 No problems using 2 batteries. Keep the voltage the same!
Use heavy duty switches (JR Gold), some cheaper std switches are prone to failure, heavy duty switches are much better.
2 I have used a whip antena on my last couple of models. The one fitted to my FC330 has been shortened to around 6 inches. I used a full lenght (interco brand) on my H9 330 mounted on a platform under the turtle deck, both worked well.
