Blade 400- "Clicking" servo
Recently, I had a servo begin to "click" upon activation. It still turns, but I know something has to be wrong. There are no stripped gears but I did notice that the main output gear shaft hole doesn't seemed "keyed" or is very hard to see.
Maybe I don't have the potentiometer shaft set correctly before putting on the output gear?
Any ideas?
This is my second servo i'm having issues with (aside from stripping gears because of a crash).
I had another servo just quite on me, but Horizon sent me the Spektrum DSP75 as a replacement free of charge ( I'm likeing Horizon customer service [8D] ).
Maybe they will do the same for this servo...

RE: Blade 400- "Clicking" servo
No worries this is an easy fix. Take off the casing and landing gear, lay down and stick the heli on your chest (or just put it on the bed) Turn on your transmitter, throttle down and move everything center on the transmitter (when you are done with these instructions you will have your heli trimmed with everything center so follow along). Next plug in your battery while watching both servos. See that servo move way up (or down) and also that clicking sound as you plugged it in?. Unplug it, then do it again. See and hear it again? If so we found your problem so lets fix it. Good now with the battery still plugged in go ahead and loosen the screws holding the servos in. Take them out and get eye level with the Heli (put in on your chest laying down) and put the servos back in while making sure the blades well be level. Get these servos level when you put them back in. Try to turn a servo with your fingers. Hear that clicking sound? The servos don't like you doing that so stop it already. When they are centered and you are satisfied screw them back in. Unplug the battery and plug back in. The clicking sound should be gone. Put the chopper on your chest and throttle up to make sure that you are satisfied and everything is ok. Now your clicking is gone and your Chopper should be trimmed perfect without ever touching the transmitter.
