Default Turbine ON-Board Battery Question

I am trying to find out who mkaes the red connector found on my on board battery pack on my SimJet engine. I have seen it on other models as well. I would like to find one to make a charge cord with.
Also can anyone make a reccommendation as to what rate you whould fast charge these batteries with, I am using the Hitec field charger with adjustable rate.
THanks for the info
Tommy

Default Turbine ON-Board Battery Question

I charge mine at 2.2 amps fast charge. But you're safe and a little on the conservative side at two times the MAH of the battery capacity. I actually cycle my battery to find out the "real" capacity before I set my fast charger as sometimes what's stated on the pack isn't what my cycling comes out to. In fact most times that's the case. I'm redoing the wireing on my RAM battery to standard Deans Connectors. That way you can make whatever leads you want. It seems to me that some of these jet guys want everything to stay to the charging leads that come with the battery. I've spent a lot of research in the past couple of months doing High Performance electric airplanes. The deans connectors are far better conductors than the connectors that come with our turbine electronic control units. My .02

Default Turbine ON-Board Battery Question

Sounds like I could probably just change them all out with the Dean's two prong connector which would solve my problem. Thanks for the info.

Default Turbine ON-Board Battery Question

I am pretty sure the connectors are made by Graupner. Anyone knows for sure?

Default Connector

As Lars has indicated, it is a Graupner and they can be purchased from Hobby Lobby.
