Jetset Japan
2-1-2 Tonotuju
Sumiyosiku
Osaka
Japan
Mr Tahara at JetSet Japan is our dealer in Japan - he sells turbines from other manufacturers as well. He has at least one English speaking member of staff, they communicate with us in English because my Japanese is non-existent.

RE: Osaka Japan Hobby Shops?
Well I made it to JetSet! I met several jet flyers working on their aircraft. This was not a typical hobbyshop as we mostly know, but rather a Jet shop. Customers would bring their jets to work on them here. The owner would lease the space and allow the use of the many good quality bench tools including a mill, lathe, and drill press. Of course, parts were for sale too!
In the group picture below starting from left to right is Masashi Tahara the shop owner, a customer who I've forgotten his name SORRY!, Keizo Masuda who owns the Fly Models F-16 we are looking at in another picture, Shinichirou Tanisaki who is a manager of drive train engineering at Daihatsu and also the shop "wrench", yours truly on the far right. I'm the gray haired guy if you haven't followed along!
The overall picture of the shop also shows a KingCat in primer, and various jets on the storage rack at the rear of the shop. The closeup of the Fly Models F-16 of Keizo shows the Wren Super Sport installed. The maiden is scheduled very soon. The install was superb as can be expected from a very talented guy!
Last photo shows me and Kiezo. Did I mention he is a captain for ANA flying a 747-400 out of Toyko? The years have been much kinder to him as he is a bit older than I! :-))
All spoke much better English than I spoke Japanese. The hour and a half I visited was welcomed by all.
Thank You Keizo, Shinichirou, and Masashi for allowing me some International Jet modeling time with you!
I WILL take you guys up on your offer to go flying the next time I'm in Japan! Mode 1 even!
