Default Tower Servo Performance?

Is This A Good Servo?
Does anyone in this forum have experience using the Tower TS-70 Super-Torque Metal-Geared Ball Bearing Servo? The specs look good and the price is righteous. More than 100 oz/in torque. Just wondering if anyone has used these and if so, how are they?
Regards
JC

it is the same as Hitec HS-645MG

Hitec makes them and puts a Tower lable on it.

Sale is over at ServoCity and this one doesn't appear to be digital and therefore not programmable. I wouldn't want to find out how good it is in one of my jets though. I'll stick to what works for me.

I just bought a Hobbico CS 150, which propably is the same as Towers TS 150. It looks to be a HS 5945 without programming, and without the great Hitec hardware.
At $40 it could be good value for money. I will put it to test on the rudder of a 80" gas plane.

note if you went with the Hitec digitals you would have more holding torque
as well as the option to program the servo using the HiTec HFP-10 Digital Servo Programmer

The advantage is yours, when you choose to use Hitec digital servos and the new HFP-10 Hitec digital servo programmer and "all brand" servo tester. Our HFP-10 will fine-tune all your Hitec digital servos for optimum performance and is the perfect answer to "matching" sets of servos for those big planes.
Programmable Features include
Reset to factory default
End and center points
Direction of rotation
Dead band width
Failsafe point
Speed (reduction only)

It's a servo and transmitter tester too
Use the HFP-10 as a servo tester for any brand of servo. It displays transmitter pulse width, voltage to the servo, and has both an auto and manual servo travel function. The HFP-10 is housed in a solid aluminum case with a 4.8V. rechargeable nicad internal battery, uses an easy to read LCD display and is a great addition to the extensive Hitec digital servo product line

price new $155.00 used $100.00 -$125.00

Now some folks love Hitec some hate hitec. I get a lot of servo for my money.

As usual, a predictable response from you knuckle head !!!! I will stop posting since I only have one jet and your holiness has many [X(]...

back to the subject; I used these tower hobbies servos in a gas prop plane and they have been solid so far....

I have also found that, for the money, the 5955 and similar digis from hitec are the best value for the money. I use their programmer for setting up all servos.
