I want to replace the shock towers on my 4.6 but i can't get them out. Do you have to pull the diffs cover to get them out. Could someone please help me out.

got a manual?
yes the cover is over the tower.
pull the upper arm hinge pins as well.

I pulled the upper pins. So the cover needs to come off. Do I have to pull the lower pins also. I do have a manul but it look to me that they left two screws in. Sorry new to this.

there's a total of 8 screws.
6 in the diff cover.2 of 6 are underneath in the skid plate and 2 in the tower.
lower pins can stay.

Are the 2 on the bottom they are not the 2 that hold the skid plate. The rear is done the sameway??

yes the rear is the same.only you will need to remove the rear tierods.
the 2 screws in the skids.

Thanks so much for the help. The manual didn't show 2 of the screws that needed tooken out. I went back and got it of. Thanks again for your help.
