skymaster f-86 scale wheels and struts
they say neccesity is the mother of invention:
so i needed scale brake hubs and the correct frt wheel for my topgun entry and here is what i have made.
a scale nose strut lower leg is almost ready also.
the bottom wheel in the pic is the stock one--quite a change huh!

Those hubs turned out very nice indeed. You said you were going to make some. WOW! I hope the rest of the build is going as well.

i have actually made 3 complete sets of wheels and frt lower legs.
they are a little pricie but you will not have to worry about everyone having them ,
definetly makes the models gear that something extra!!

the back sides of the brake hub have a inner hub shape to fit over the original wheels center hub and then silicone on
on the frt,, since the wheels have bearings again slicone on and the axle goes thru the center and won't go anywhere.
the rear hubs could be screwed on into the wheel but i rather have them break loose if need be than damage them if you run off a runway edge.

the new rising sun(son) is still incubating in his workshop crib, and may or may noy be done enough for toledo.
i am afraid if it goes to toledo it may get a hex, instead of the normal blessing i used to get.
but then again something new from the east is a fresh face in a sea of purple!

here's a little taste - just out of paint today -lots of sanding and buffing to do!!!!!!!!!!
