Most modern radios have servo reverse switch selections on the transmitter. Long ago, when most radios didn't have that feature. It was posible to open the servo up and reverse the wires on the pot, as its called, or potentiometer. But I'm not certain thats even possible on the modern servos.

I believe you'd need to reverse both the potentiometer and the servo motor.

You need to swap the motor wires(Black/Yellow) and you also need to swap the pot wires (Brown/Blue) or just buy a Hiteck Servo as they are reverse or JR.
On most of the lower end servos you can , but the higher end (Digital) and coreless servos it is not as they are soldered directly to the board.

In the "old days" servo motors and pots were loose-wired. The servo could be easily reversed by swapping the motor wires and the outer pot wires. Now, most are hard wired to the PC board and are VERY difficult to reverse. I'd buy a commercial servo reverser or do it with the TX.

Depending on the purpose and linkage to the servo, you can simply move the linkage to the other side.... Also as others have said, the TX should have a reversing switch. If this is 2 servos on a Y and 1 needs reversed, get a servo seversing Y-harness and be done with it.

Doesn't JR sell all there servos with a reverse option? Ie: JR 537r servo.

Hitech Digitals can bee programed to run reversed.
All it takes is a $150 programmer

If ya just need to reverse the direction and don't wanna or can't use the transmitter then just substitute a JR Servo for a Fubar or vissee versee. Pretty simple really.

If you want the existing pushrod to stay straight. Mount the servo upside down or even sideways. No harm. Works everytime.

Ha! I didn't know Futaba and JR servos rotated in opposite directions! Learn something new every day!!

I'm not 100% sure but I think it has to do with positive/negative shift thing.

Servo direction has nothing to do with shift, simply a matter or the way the motor and feedback pot are connected inside the servo. Futaba and Hitec also rotate the opposite directions with the same change in pulsewidth.
