Thru transom exhaust
For those that run thru transom exhaust, what do you use for isolators and where can you get em?
I can find tips all over but nothing to hold and seal the 1/2" outlet to the transom.
If it matters much, I was hoping to use Bonzi Tips.
thanks

Nofords, go to your local hobby shop and look at their silicone nitro exh. couplers made for various car eng. exh. They usually are stepped; one end smaller than the other and sometimes different colors. You might find something that will work.

RE: Thru transom exhaust
what about the tape discussied earlier on this site to insulate your pipe?

that should work, & you could wrap it to your desired thickness.

RE: Thru transom exhaust
Nitro silicone exhaust tubing is what i used i found some the correct diam and thickness and it works great,if you get a snug fit it holds it also but i also put some silicon sealant round the tubing to fix it to the transom on the outside as insurance.

I used those black rubber firewall grommets. Got them at my local hardware store. They work perfectly and don't seem to be bothered by the heat.
