I don't need 3D flight. I need indoor compatibility, easy-to-fly, durability, and reliability. My eye is so far gravitating to a Blade CX2. I hear the 4-in-1 tends to go bad though. I don't mind making a few highly recommended upgrades as long as the total package of upgrades can be had for $100 or less.

Personally, for $50 less i'd get the esky lama v4 2.4ghz model. same flight characteristics and most of the parts are compatible.

Any reason in particular to pick the Esky Lama V4 over the Esky Co-Comanche?

not really, they are all the same in terms of flight. ka-planes.com is selling the lama v4 for $130 though.

GasRc,
I've been flying helicopters for about three years and have gone through alot of them, currently have the HBK2, Belt CP and a Logo 10.
However, I've had coaxial heliicopters in the past and as I progressed, sold them and moved on. Here's were I'm going with this, I MISS the little rascals, so I ordered a Lama V4 yesterday, for the fun indoor flying.
Got mine from Bphobbies.com for $124 and shipping: here's the site" They are reliable, been doing business with them for a couple years now.

I am going to get either a v4 or comanche from www.hobby-lobby.com. Ill prolly get all the aluminum from the sight for it, and need some opinions on wat one to get. The comanche looks cool, but i dont really know if I like the whole wheels for landing gear thing

You can't go wrong with a Esky V4. They really are great helicopters, and talk about bang for the buck!! However I have also owned two Hirobo XRB Lamas and they are in my opinion the "BEST" Co-Axial RTF. They quality and electronics are stellar.....but so is the price!! For price and performance go with an Esky.
