I have seen some really cool stuff this month. I am at work and do not have access to my magazines but I will get back late tonite with manifactures of these cool new products that include. aluminum top brace in 2 pieces that allows servo access without removing the whole top chassis, aluminum a arms, aluminum battery box for the more widly available "universal" battery packs, aluminum rear piviot blocks and a few more goodies Im not sure of. I will be decking my nt out with these as soon as I sell my old t maxx.

OK Here we go. This month some very exciting products have become available fot the XXX-NT. The coolest has to be the aluminum 2 piece top deck from Native Racing. Phone # (407) 228 0760 and www.remotecontrolhobby.com According to the manifacturer this 2 piece top deck requires the removal of only 2 screws to access the steering servo, increases tuning capibilities by adding additional foreward and aft positions for the steering servo and also allows quick fuel tank removal. The rest of the new stuff I have found is from R/C Trix www.rctrix.com phone # (866) 4rc trix. There new products are.... aluminum battery box, replacement shock springs in 4 different rates, aluminum front and rear A arms, aluminum front pivot block, aluminum rear pivot block, aluminum front and rear shock towers, aluminum hinge pins, and aluminum e clips. All this stuff is just to cool and I will be getting it ASAP. I will post some pics of my NT once I get all of it done. Thanks 1stplacerace

Thanks for those hopup links! Have you tried any of those things? I'm especially interested in the top plate since I just busted the steering servo and it's such a hassle to get access to it.

If you have any of those hopups...I would be curious to hear which ones worked for you and which are not worth it.

only hop ups I use on mine is the CVDs for the rear and the graphite a-arms for the front. I have seen no reason to upgrade anything else (besides engine in future).

I have the 2 piece top plate and battery box on the way. I will post pics after installation. I have missed a main event in the past just because the servo broke in a heat race. If anybody wants one of the 2 piece top plates they will be in stock at www.psrch.com in the middle of next week. Thanks Stan 1stplacerace . com

Do you have any idea how aluminum parts do with rusting? I usually wash down my car after running it, but there are still cases where, short of a complete teardown, water will find a way to stick around...

right, aluminum does not rust, And you could probably use an air compressor to help dry your car and keep it from rusting, if ya got one

Another thing to check out when trying to decide which upgrades to get is the "Adam Drake Edition" XXX NT. The differences between this version and the version you have should give you a good idea of what direction to go..........

I installed the native racing 2 piece top plate today, It is awesome. The steering servo has new mounting hardware and comes out with 2 screws.

Default Native racing battery box

Here is a pic of the Native racing battery box, Its nice, but is designed to be used with the trinity aluminum rear piviot block. DONT TRY IT WITH THE PLASTIC ONE.. Your hinge pins will fall out. I had to make a custom aluminum piece to hold the pins in place.
